Lichfield

The Turnpike

Saturday 16th August 2008

Another new venue.

We always look forward to appearing somewhere new, although this isn't far from the Trent Valley in Lichfield, where we've enjoyed some great gigs!

Warm night!

"We'll wear the waistcoats tonight!" said Steve, but it was just too warm - so shirt sleeves it was.

Great sound.

With a decent sized space in which to set up and perform, we achieved a good sound with just an odd tweak on the EQ controls.

Good company.

It was great to see lots of friends there, some of whom we hadn't seen for a long time. Thanks for your welcome support!

Rocking tunes!

Love to play these pub gigs - where I can let my hair down a bit and let it rip with some raunchy solos on the electric guitar - great!

Great form!

Steve was in great form - doing a number of requests and throwing in our interpretation of Lynyrd Skynyrd's Sweet Home Alabama.

Three Encores!

Thanks to Lindy, for the invite to play at The Turnpike. Thanks to all the good folks who came out to enjoy the evening with us, making us feel so welcome. Thanks to those who dipped into their pockets to sponsor my charity swim. Thanks to Jan for the pics. We very much look forward to a return visit. See you soon!
